How much are you paying for web hosting?

Blog, business, Hosting, Start-Ups, Websites

We have lots of conversations about web hosting and are sometimes astonished by how much businesses are paying for it. So we went away and did a little research. GoDaddy are advertising their basic, cheapest web hosting package at £3.99 per month. This sounds great. Very competitive. When we read the small print, you do need to sign up for 3 years and pay for the entire 3 years up front…and this is at a 50% discount. So a cost of £143.64. This is reviewed in 3 years at which point you lose the 50% introductory offer and the following 3 years then renews at £287.64 payable in one lump sum.

This provides business owners with a 25GB plan with an SSL certificate and an email address. Which will meet the requirements of many small businesses.

This is self managed hosting. You as the business owner needs to develop the website, add all software, plug-ins and maintain all updates.

Which for some…will be achievable.

But if you are not sure about updating and maintaining your own website, we offer managed hosting, meaning we manage all aspects of your hosting and are always here to perform the updates, check for malware and keep your site updated and secure.  And at a cost of only £8 per month on our basic pay as you go package.

If this offers more than your current host is offering, we invite you to get in touch.

If you are considering transferring your website to a host which offers more competitively priced hosting, we invite you to get in touch….

…we offer free, friendly advice and handle everything.
