From 2002 to 2005 I worked for the mobile phone giant EE as Senior Coaching Advisor. This brought me into contact with some super-exciting new technology including the launch of the smart phone. These were exciting times to be so involved with the emergence of the smart phone. I enjoyed access to the early camera phones before the “selfie” had been invented!
In 2005 I changed jobs in accordance with the needs of my young family, moving into education. I was fortunate that my skills were recognised and I created a wonderful role. This combined working with young people in the area of IT whilst designing and maintaining the school websites and creating a whole school e-learning solutions. I moved into marketing the school as the climate changed. Combining web development, e-learning and marketing my skill set was honed until a change in the culture of the school brought me to set up my own business.
LJ Digital Media - Est. 2016
In 2016 I was unexpectedly and suddenly made redundant after the leadership and ethos of the school in which I worked changed suddenly. Once I had picked myself up from this blow, I decided the time was right to set up my own business.
I was so fortunate to find some early clients looking for websites. The wonderful community centre TCR Hub, in Barnard Castle needed a web developer to update and re-develop their website.
My local fantastic fish and chip shop required a website and help with their social media.
…and so I launched my business!
